OUR BUS DRIVER IS MISSING AND/OR HURT/DEAD/or A THIEF. OUR BUS HAS DISAPPEARED.
How can 3 tons of black metal vanish into thin air?

PORTLAND, WE'RE FRIENDS RIGHT?
fuck last night was good. last night was genius. I had soooo much fun!
THE RACONTEURS AND THE KILLS absolutely massacred portland, and we're at it again tonight. it's only been one day together and i think the excitement of it all, may cause a death in the family. i'm looking forward to round two, on Portland soil... and the next night elsewhere and the next until... yes, somebody loses an eye. (a worthy cause in my opinion)
and thanks to the portland lady who gave me a ring for my finger that is none other than a dagger, disguised as a silver light.
i hear marching bands in my hung over head, and they're wearing our colors.

RED ROCKS AND BITCH TALK
blood red rock up on a mountain, blood red moon, full bloom up in the sky like cherry kool-aid for crow, instead....
it's a good thing to gig again, especially in a wild west place like that, up in the ridges, 1000 miles up. seeing the lights of denver twinkling like fireflies 40 miles from the stage, never flying any closer, and never burning out. we had a good one up there...the next day we flew to portland, and here we are. we start the raconteurs tour tonight with a bang.
Sorry to the denver lady with a mouth the size of a canyon who was asked kindly to get the fuck gone. i'm sure you are pleasant when you're not being so much of a bitch. you win some, you lose some sweetie.

DADADENVER
hello from denver. there's not a lot of oxygen here... and there's a goldfish in my hotel room. that said, denver is cool. the weather is weird, hot freezing raining grey blue white can't decide. we play the monolith festival at red rocks later on. i hear they keep oxygen tanks on the side of the stage for dizzy spells and black outs.
something tells me it's not
an ideal location for going berserk, but im up for it.
yesterday was our first day here, and i did the following. bought 5 rabbits feet (a whole rabbit and some) that a chinese rabbit foot factory died purple and green. totally obscene. i walked denver up and down, saw the smallest woman i've ever seen, said hello, bought some books, read, bought some vampire teeth, tried them on... etc etc. it was a good day, all in all.
and i wanted to thank the london paper for reprinting my love letter to virgin media... that was kind of you. every bit of screaming and kicking and biting and arson helps, in the literary realm.
however, i'm almost certain those VM pricks and can't read or write.
But i am at best, a positive
person and i'll maintain a bit of naive hope that one day the service industry in england will get their shit together and take their clown suits off, and do the jobs we pay them for.
here's me in vampire teeth.

AND NOW FOR THE UPDATE:
We went to Dublin... somewhere near dublin, a field out there an hour from the airport for Electric Picnic. i can't recall the scenic drive. I was asleep. i loved the gig. we had a blast. franz ferdinand were good. wilco were good. i missed grace jones, but saw her pull up in an incredible silver limousine. totally called for. would have it no other way. a spectacular entrance into the backstage area... for a second i thought we were in miami in 1985. but i snapped out of it.
oh and i ripped a stomach muscle during the gig. that was interesting.
i thought my guts were gonna spill out.
i walked around all day holding them in with my fists. that was a week or so ago, and i'm fine now or immune to the pain.
not much has happened since then. london. rain. playing guitar.
writing. did a photoshoot for
something japanese. in a major fight with virgin media who haven't bothered fixing my telephone in 7 months, despite charging me for the use of a dead phone. they are absolute fucking cunts by the way. VIRGIN MEDIA ARE LYING CHEATING CRIMINAL BASTARD IDOIT CUNTS. and you can quote me on that.
