BIT OF AN UPDATE...

hey everyone...

we've just ended a lovely trip to new zealand... we played wellington and auckland and had an absolute blast. thank you to all of you who came out to the gigs and to julian for looking out for us, despite all our cruel jokes. new zealand is so beautiful. my only regret is that we didn't have longer there... and didn't race speed boats or 4-wheelers and didn't jump off the space needle. at least we'll have something to do next time.

we're in australia now... the gold coast to be precise, but we leave for brisbane in a few hours. previous stops include two days in sydney...
which were... uh... a little difficult. i suppose 8 days straight of flights isn't contributing to a solid state of mind... but we played our first v festival show and i found the sunlight to be rather damning and ill suited to my time on stage. luckily the shuttle buses to the hotel ran regularly. i hate the sun. have i ever told you? sure thing i have.

however, the gold coast was a good gig. it was dark. totally dark and i felt human again. let's hope the same goes for melbourne and perth. if i was a witch i would have taken care of this long ago.

anyway, we're out here looking forward to our own gigs in melbourne, brisbane and sydney. so if you are around these parts and fancy a club show (a real show), then come out. we'll have fun.

KILLS NEWZ

hey all....

We are on the road again! Horray! I write to you from an old nazi bunker we're playing in Hamburg.... we go on stage in a bit...
tomorrow we're in Berlin and the next day Frankfurt.... If you're in town we hope to see you. We just got back from a trip to Beijing. It was far far away. We played to a bunch of sweaty people in a little red room and it was fun...
then of course, we climbed the Great Wall of China and flew down the mountain on a death tobaggan at about 70 miles an hour... no complaints here. If there was a speed record of any description, Jamie and I broke it. And big old saint bernard dog watched us do it and HOWLED.

After Germany, next stop is Australia and New Zealand.... other far far far off lands. We'll be doing V Festival there and a handful of our own gigs as well... then it's off to America for Coachella and a month long American tour with The Horrors and The Magic Wands. Please come out and join us... We might even try to hang onto our bus for the whole tour... Will luck be on our side?

In other news, I've been hanging out in nashville a bit this year and have been working on a side project with Jack White, Jack Lawrence and Dean Fertita called The Dead Weather. Check it out... it's up on itunes.... for you.

OK... more news from the road soon, and sorry we have been so quiet.... Thanks to all of you who made Dusseldorf last night such a huge success. We had a real good time.
